Question...
If Microsoft 11 embeds their AI in Windows, I expect that the AI could easily be programmed to snoop around my home or office network. That's a reasonable assumption isn't it? I figured they are already doing this, but with AI they can do it easier.

yes it’s a valid assumption, and the embedding is already taking place.

So, if you have Windows you already have a virus in your network. The Windows virus. A firewall can't stop it and anti-virus software won't stop it.

It's not as hard as people think. I did the switch gradually.
Started with setting up an inexpensive desktop with linux and an old pixel phone with linux.
Used those for basic things at first such as a browser (Brave) and email (Thunderbird).
Over time I slowly moved over everything else.
Now I use Libre Office instead of Microsoft Office,
A Synology DS220+ for my cloud server instead of dropbox, youtube music, and other "cloud" services
My own email on my own domain for my own website hosted on my own VPS that I manage instead of gmail
And a bunch of other things

A little at a time.

The biggest hurdle I am finding for people is the first one... just getting started. Once you get started you can progress a little at a time. But you can't progress until you start.

II really like the 2012- 2017 vintage Dell’s …… easy to install Linux on them…(to-date I’ve had none of the video or wifi problems …. knock on wood) 1. open them up and blow the dust out. 2. while you have them open upgrade the Ram Memory and the drive to SSD …. (then I like to take my “hilldawg-smashing-hammer to the old drive) this really impresses the friends who I get he old laptops from when I hand it back to them after they watch me work it over …... 3. load up Linux …… engage UFW, show them how to “sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade” take them on a little tour and insight into the software 4. turn them loose …… when they ask how much, I tell them …. replace the cost of Ram n SSD ….. for my next convert

What's cool about most new Linux distros is you don't even need to "sudo apt" anything! updating the various applications you use on the device is as easy as clicking a few buttons now. This is the game changer that has brought so many new users into the fold I believe and what will help bring millions more over.

We are facing a vicious environment in our country like never before. Our freedoms are under attack everywhere we turn.

We pray as this new week dawns, lift our weary souls from cares that weigh heavy. Fill our hearts instead with Your comfort. Guide our eyes up to Your face of hope eternal, away from crowds and troubles around us. Breathe courage within us fresh to walk on unwavering, seeing with Your sight and serving as You call us to serve. Awaken in us again the trust that you'll lead us through, as each day and each step of our lives brings us nearer to Your kingdom.

Forgive us our sins, O Lord, when we have strayed from Your perfect will. Wash us clean in the redeeming blood of Christ, and make us whole.
