Anyone remember what these were for, on cassette tapes?

Bonus question - anyone remember why there were two of them on each cassette?

In the 1980’s, weekends were the time for “top-30” or “top-40” countdown shows on the radio…

Here’s something you may not have known..

Did you know that these shows were recorded every week, then the recordings were pressed on to vinyl records, (actual L.P.’s), physically shipped out, and played each week on turntables (record players) at radio stations all over the U.S.?

Now, shows are downloaded as a digital file, or streamed over a satellite. Yet back then, the distribution/syndication method was to record each week on to a L.P., and mail them to radio stations. 😁 Kinda interesting..

PRAYER

Loving Father, a week ago, we prayed that you would open the eyes of the blind. Since then, the world has continued to see weakness and imperfections in organizations and public figures who foolishly try to exercise various forms of temporary authority over us. Through this, the truth is seen: that no one on earth is infallible.

We know we are seeing incremental movements towards Truth not only because You answer our prayers, but because You are good and all Your ways are just. Indeed, many of Your children are praying for Justice and Truth, as we do, in these times. All Glory to God! We know you hear our prayers, and we are thankful.

Father, Your wisdom is infinite. We ask again that in Your strength, You would work in us to will and do Your good purpose in our lives. May You be glorified through us and may many come to know of Your gift of salvation, by grace through faith in Your One and Only Son.

In the glorious name of Jesus, AMEN.

Something to think about.

After 30 years, the result is plain for all to see: Ordinary people, working together in good faith and almost zero budget, built the world’s most powerful computer Operating System, that out-performs the comparable product—your computer’s most important software—built by Bill Gates and Microsoft with their unlimited resources, over the same period of time.

No one would have predicted this, at the beginning. It’s an incredible result, a modern day David vs. Goliath story that is being revealed for the world to see, right now, as Windows continues to lose market share.

What if our other important technologies were built the same way? Transparent, Open Source, citizen backed projects, free for inspection at any time, with verifiable code signatures.

This week, the DOJ will announce it is filing suit against Google, in a complaint designed to look like the Biden gov't is concerned about "search engine dominance."

After everything Google has done for the D's, we're supposed to believe this is authentic? Yeah, right.

Might be the strangest thing seen in the entire history of the scamdemic so far. Is this satire? It has to be.
