Almighty and merciful Father, just as Your Son made well the blind beggar near Jericho, we pray that You help restore the vision of many on earth who cannot see clearly enough to discern what is true, and who are unaware of their own blindness.

Father, these among us have become foolishly arrogant, so blinded by evil, and fear, they cannot see what matters even to their own demise.

We pray that with Your infinite wisdom and strength, all things causing the blindness among those we speak of in our prayers today be struck down, WITH YOUR MERCY help these blind to see again and help calm their frightened souls as they face the truth; and as the world is cured of such blindness, that the most important truths will be seen first, and through this: We pray for justice against our adversaries.

Above all else, Father, we pray that You grant these who are blind, the life changing privilege of seeing You, for only You can provide what the world truly needs.

This we ask in the mighty name of Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

You know who has nothing to do with these kinds of practices? The Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) world. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Just focused on legitimately brilliant open source code, and making sure your computer works for you the way it’s supposed to, instead of being some kind of problem device. The FOSS software community is generally politically agnostic with no ‘contract’ or ‘control’ agenda, the way it should be.

Learn something about some of the most common server types that run the public internet.

Note more than 90% of these servers are running on the Linux Operating System, by the way.

Anyone remember what these were for, on cassette tapes?

Bonus question - anyone remember why there were two of them on each cassette?

In the 1980’s, weekends were the time for “top-30” or “top-40” countdown shows on the radio…

Here’s something you may not have known..

Did you know that these shows were recorded every week, then the recordings were pressed on to vinyl records, (actual L.P.’s), physically shipped out, and played each week on turntables (record players) at radio stations all over the U.S.?

Now, shows are downloaded as a digital file, or streamed over a satellite. Yet back then, the distribution/syndication method was to record each week on to a L.P., and mail them to radio stations. 😁 Kinda interesting..
