thanks for doing this. I have tried for years to get people to leave Windoze and move to open source. Have very little luck with it though. Most people are indeed too lazy or not tech savvy

Also forgot to mention earlier, as was stated above it is pretty cheap to grab an old/new pc off of ebay..yet if you don't want to go that route look into Raspberry Pi systems, they are small and powerful, great for beginners.

For those of you who asked for a recording/playback of tonight's voice chat, here it is. Good luck fellow Patriots on your journey away from the "big tech" overlords, Microsoft, Apple, and Google, it's a good time indeed to learn about Linux and opensource!

Thank you so much for pointing us in the right direction Jeffrey. I got the book and will start reading. I'm not afraid of hard work and love love to learn new things. You are awesome to give people this knowledge and help them. Again, Thank you.

I'll be getting a pixel phone, new or used, and then degoogle it myself using a tutorial from what I'm learning here, then put linux in it following instructions...
If you are using a Microsoft Windows computer, your entire digital identity and life depends on an operating system that was designed under the complete control of this man, Bill Gates. Or maybe you are using Android (designed by Google), or MacOS/iOS (Apple). GET OUT NOW. There is a better way to protect yourself from the "big tech" overlords......learn to teach yourself about free opensource software and the Linux operating system. Linux has been around for a long time, learning how to use it is a powerful way to take back your digital freedom. A recording of tonight's group call, that we recorded to help you, is pinned to the top of this Telegram channel. For more learning, you can scroll back to read our posts and listen to recordings from previous days. Good luck Patriots and God Bless you! β€οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ‘ I Agree with you 100%. Linux is Wonderful. Don't forget you can Install Virtual Machine and load your Version of Windows and needed Windows Applications and run them Inside Linux. Works Great for the few Applications that do not have Linux Support.

If you're asking about Mint vs Ubuntu, I suggest Mint. It's based on Ubuntu so packages for Ubuntu will work. There are two graphical "flavors" for Mint, Cinnamon and Mate. Cinnamon is the most Windows-like. And unless your hardware is very old, use the 64-bit version.

You don't have to give it up. Get a second cheap device, install free linux on it and start learning. Best of both worlds.
