The windows and apple folks don't even realize there are desktop choices.

Yes. A screamingly fast linux rig. You'll want to use something *extremely* recent (ubuntu 21.10 is out in a month) so that your video card has really really good support. But other than that, you'll have a good time.

Linux is my daily driver OS of choice. I've used it for years and have moved to Arch and basically set up my system myself but I am still learning.

I have have always used windows as my OS. I have messed around with Linux I small bit and have had Linux Manjaro KDE installed on a separat HD as dual boot right now but have not messed with it as of late. I would like to become a Linux pro. Any pointers on where to start learning?

Happy Saturday Patriots! On tonight's video/voice call (cameras deactivated) at 8:00pm EST we will be sharing stories about how we know our phones and devices are spying on us, how they are using the spying against us, and then continue with our ongoing trainings: Learn how to take back your digital freedom by leaving Windows/MacOS and teaching yourself how to use the free opensource Linux Operating System. Talk to you then!!

I've been listening to the evening chats. Had heard of Linux, but never really tried to play with it. Today, I burned an image of Mint Cinnamon and used it to boot up what I thought was the deadest of dead laptops. The thing is now running like a charm at lightning speed. Thank you so much for getting me started. Tomorrow I'm pulling another old laptop from my pile of "retired" equipment and will repurpose that, as well, to use as a learning tool.

I’ve been using Windows for years. In 2015 I bought a MacBook Pro and have barely touched Windows. It’s the most glitchy, and intrusive OS on the market. As of late though, Apple has been becoming more woke and more intrusive. On Monday I am backing up my files on my Windows 10 laptop, formatting, and installing Linux!

Will join tonight. Jeffrey, thank you. Look at what you’ve done, bringing so many people together. And it’s all kind, engaging, heaps of generosity and acceptance. This is the new-ancient way of being 😎💖

Last night on the call, people mentioned you could buy new computers loaded with Linux. JP said buy an old computer on ebay and load it with Linux as a learning experience. Today on ebay, I found many old refurbished computers that are already loaded with Linux. Prices from $50 to $150, plus shipping. I decided to not be lazy, so I did loaded Linux myself. But if you want a jumpstart, ebay has pre-loaded equipment available.
