Rumblings: CNN May Be Giving Humpty the Boot
The CNN bloodbath continues. First, it was Jeff Zucker, then Chris Cuomo and it looks like Brian Stelter may be next. Charlie Gasparino tweeted this out last week. In early February The Gateway Pundit reported that CNN insiders were calling for Stelterβsβ¦

LEARN ABOUT CYBER SECURITY
Fact: Over 90% of #cyberattacks begin with a spear-phishing email.
So what is "spear-phishing?"
"A typical spear phishing attack includes an email and attachment. The email includes information specific to the target, including the target's name or title at a company. This social engineering tactic boosts the chances that the victim will carry out all the actions necessary for infection, including opening the email and the included attachment."
How to defend against them?
1. Refrain from clicking on links or downloading attachments in emails, especially from unknown sources.
2. Be wary of unsolicited mail and unexpected emails, especially those that call for urgency.
3. Always verify with the person involved through a different means of communication, such as phone calls or face-to-face conversation.

HP All-in-one still has Windows 10 but can switch back and forth to Zorin via USB Stick. Love it. Gives me time to clean up Windows and make a permanent switch. Trust Zorin and what I build into it on the USB Stick can eventually be copied to the SSD. Then it's bye bye Win.

A geomagnetic storm is hitting the earth at the moment.
"A geomagnetic storm, also known as a magnetic storm, is a brief disruption of the Earth's magnetosphere generated by a solar wind shock wave and/or cloud of magnetic field interacting with the Earth's magnetic field."
Although these storms have the potential to disrupt electronics, the good news is, this one isn't too strong. Watch for radio interference, possibly some lights in the northern night sky, etc.

We think this is real. An edit button for Twitter? About time. Thanks Elon! Twitter was rumored to be considering an edit button since last year. It's only been a few days since he stepped in to the picture, looks like it will happen now.
We recognize it's going to take time for him to earn trust--if he even can--but in the meantime, an edit button seems like a positive development.

Apple Vunerability CVE-2022-22675, first reported last week, allows devices to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges in macOS Monterey. Affects: MacBook Laptops.
Recently, we posted a bulletin about another Apple Vunerability. That vunerability affected iphones and ipads. This Apple Vunerability is different, it affects Macbook laptops.
Amazingly, after more than a week, Apple still has not released security updates to address the same vunerability in the two previous macOS versions, Big Sur (aka macOS 11) and Catalina (aka macOS 10.15), leaving an estimated 35β40% of all supported Macs in danger of this actively exploited vulnerability.

Thank you for this!! It's fascinating! We had a powerful electrical storm here yesterday, the likes of which I have not seen in many years, and possibly the worst! So I've been reading up! Many lost power, including me, off and on. We had tornados on the 5th with the storms rolling through. β‘β‘β‘

META IS LOSING ITS FOCUS
It was reported last night by several tech blogs that Facebook (recently rebranded as 'meta') is seeking alternate revenue streams with "virtual tokens" internally called "Zuck Bucks" for the Metaverse, and exploring entering the financial services business with lending services, as the popularity of its main products falls.
OPINION: We think things are starting to look desperate at "meta" as they continue to lose focus. Maybe Zuck's dirty work for the Democrats isn't paying off the way he hoped it would.
