One thing I found helped me (and I realize this is a bit niche) but I was a windoze users thru and thru for years. I work in tech and used windoze on my work laptop, that was until I took a software engineering position at VMware and one day I noticed a coworked of mine using linux Ubuntu on his work machine. He was cooking thru a user issue on his system. After he got off the call I asked him about it and he mentioned several ways where linux just blew away windows both in power and functionality. I decided to wipe my work laptop and install linux and jumped head long in. I had used Ubuntu a bit in the past so a few things were vaguely familiar but on the whole was not comfortable using it. In no time flat I was cruising thru customer issues on my Ubuntu system too (bionic beaver for those wondering).
Since then I've used linux on my work laptop, personal laptop, and most recently my gaming desktop. I use Zorin OS (basically a customized version of Ubuntu) on all three. I love Zorin!! It rocks.
Point is, surrounding myself with it make Amy transition or relearning easier. I know not everyone has the option to use whatever os they want for work, but can't hurt to ask if you can. A lot more companies are starting to adopt byod for cell phone and laptop so in many cases this is possible.
All said linux is much more secure, powerful, and flexible than windoze or Mac. On top of all that, it has digital freedom. I highly encourage every to dump big tech. Jeff this channel rocks!!

"Caitlyn Jenner" joins Fox as a contributor? They've got to be kidding! It's like a bad April Fool's joke. But it appears to be real, announced a few hours ago.

All, I found a handy Article in configuring your Machine to run an FSCK at boot time, to ensure that the Filesystem is error free. The nice part of this, is that the Process can be automated, with respect to the number of Boot(s) or to a given time period (example, one week), by changing the paramaeter of tune2fs, when entering the command in the Terminal (Konsole) Window.
The Article is here.

So now, big-tech kingpin Google will start deciding which news sources are "credible."
Microsoft has started doing this too, on the Windows 11 desktop.
Yet more reasons to learn how to switch to Free and Open Source (FOSS) on your computer, and the Linux Operating System.

If you are one of the several hundred learners enrolled in our Linux for Beginners course, your invitations for tomorrow's Weekend Linux Workshop (to be held Sat. April 2 @ 5:00pm ET) are being sent out to your email right now! (If you can't be there live, the wekeend workshops are always recorded so you can watch them later on the LMS!)
Tomorrow, we revisit one of the most popular topics on our channel: How to surf the web in complete privacy by creating and managing your own VPN with Linux!
With commercial services like ExpressVPN, PIA and Cyberghost in the news after being acquired by questionable international interests, why put all of your data at risk, when you can make your own VPN on hardware you control, with Linux? Plus, your custom VPN will have a completely private IP address belonging to you, that many services won't recognize as a VPN.
For those who have already created your own VPN, we revisit best management practices and new FOSS software. And if you're new, you will be amazed to discover the world of unique possibilities you gain for your Digital Freedom when you learn Linux. Saturday, April 2, 2022, @ 5:00pm Eastern Time!
