Iβm a huge fan of RHEL/CentOS as I have used those in my career, but those are not viable for most. Ubuntu is my second favorite, works pretty well for most things you need to do. Ubuntu is pretty secure also since no services are running by default. Linux is a great OS been using it since the late 90βs. Nice to see someone on here helping others learn.

My brother has used Linux for years. What does someone do for spreadsheets and word processing? I use Dissenter and Protonmail now, still use an iMac.

Stop paying annual licensing fees to Microsoft's evil empire!! Opensource software is much more complete than it was even ten years ago. LibreOffice for Linux is completely free, constantly updated and will be just as good as Microsoft Office for 95% of users, without the bloated spyware/adware risks of Windows.

I've been using Open Office for years. There's no way I'm paying for a subscription to Microsoft.

Used openoffice years, but switched to libreoffice some years back. Fully agree both are great, free, powerful, and work on BOTH linux & windows. If I recall, libreoffice has better licence and more active development, but read for yourself

Tonight in our Voice/'Video' Chat (cameras deactivated) here on Telegram at 8:00pm EST, we will be answering your questions LIVE about taking back your digital freedom, leaving Windows/MacOS and teaching yourself how to use any of the popular versions of the free opensource Linux Operating System.
