On this Telegram channel, we teach you how to eliminate tyrannical 'big tech' organizations from your life, like Microsoft (Windows), Apple, Google, by learning to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and the Linux Operating System.

We go beyond the concept of 'alternate platforms', to the place where you need to be to truly take back control -- the operating system level -- and show you how to get complete control over your technology, once and for all. Linux is the future, it is Digital Freedom!

Spotify removed 2 more episodes of Joe Rogan while you weren't paying attention. They've removed 42 total now.

Apparently Neil sold the rights to over 50% of his catalogue some time ago and doesn't even have the ability to make this demand. Spotify has been caught removing over 40 episodes of Joe Rogan since the demand. Ask, what is really going on? What are you hearing vs. what decisions are being made?

Rob Braxman de-googs phones and loads them with Lineage 18.1 with β€œNo-GAPPS” I am not sure what no-gapps means except for maybe no goog apps.

GAPPs is the app package that typically comes pre-installed. Gmail, Contacts, messenger, dialer, calendar, chrome, YouTube, drive, maps... Probably a few others. Roughly 12mb of metadata is sent to the Google servers every day unbeknownst to the user. At a minimum this can be location, IP address, carrier cell signal strength and location, time and duration of use, orientation of the phone. Of course you agreed to it when to signed the usage agreement for the free use of their services and servers.

People's lack of knowledge or understanding set up a scenario to easily herd the sheep toward the chamber, tracking their every step along the way. Thanks to Jeff pro exposing Foss to me, I have moved right from the path intended

It looks like Google is done providing security updates to the Pixel 3. Should owners be concerned with security issues on ROMs like Lineage, /e/, Calyx or Graphene OS?

They do not want decentralized cash because then central banks who currently control our country have less control over us and less ways to track us.

The unconstitutional Fed wants their own digital dollar to be implemented.

That is my guess.

I went with a Pixel 3 second-hand and it has been great so far with Lineage. I think I'll keep my eyes open for a good deal on a 5a in the next few months

Couldn't find another place to ask my question. I hope this is ok. I own an Amazon Fire phone. I haven't had service for it for years. I only use it as an MP3 player. I'd love to clear out all the garbage and make it exclusively an MP3 player, hoping the battery would last longer and maybe be able to add more songs. Can I learn how to do that here?

When I did my pure Arch system I put Brave in as the default. Will probably setup Librewolf to see how it runs. You can change a browser pretty much like socks that's the best part about Linux.
