While exact statistics can be a challenge to find, it is clear use of the GNU/Linux OS vs. Windows grew significantly during the past three years, it grew by more than 50% from 2020 to 2021.

"The Windows monopoly is eroding, but who or what grows at its expense? ... Looking at one data source we’ve long tracked, GNU/Linux ‘proper’ (Arch, Debian, Kylin, Gentoo and so on) is definitely on the rise ... the growth is a worldwide trend and it accelerated a lot this year."

Yet, the growth of Linux has had to occur organically -- people finding it themselves -- as the Free and Open Source computing movement has virtually no marketing budget.

This makes the rise of Linux to what we calculate as somewhere between 6% and 8% market share, or an increase of about 20 million computers in the U.S., in the past three years even more extraordinary to watch. That same percentage was lost by MS Windows. Something is happening.

Hi I've been dragging my feet on updating to Monterey on my 2019 macbook pro. Do I HAVE to, or is there a work-around? I'm willing to transition to Linux if that's possible.

I found that Brave uses google search. So I ended up not using it.

Does anyone know if its possible to save a video from a telegram channel to a thumb drive for safekeeping? Some health videos get removed before I can share with people who need them.

I put Pop os on my 2015 Macbook Pro... works great. Freed tons of space and is much faster in every way

I use Brave with brave search engine. After the search results from brave it also shows bing and others.

Brave now has Brave search. You can also opt to use a different search engine such as DuckDuckGo. No need to use evil google.

I went with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS because it was one this channel recommended. No issues - easy switch following Youtubes on how to switch. And I used to work on Windows machines at work so to me its just a matter of learning where stuff is in the different environments. I'm still learning but all has been good. The most work has been my choice to switch my email from Mac and my phone to a degoogled phone...just takes time. I want out of the grips of big tech and this is the path.

After months of following JP I took the plunge Friday... 90 minutes later I’m Ubuntu 20.04... no issues... just follow directions precisely 😎

I'm day 2 on Pop OS and already love it. Extremely easy to use coming from about 5 months of Ubuntu as daily driver. Very efficient system for managing multiple tasks

I'm so happy and proud that I have installed Galliom OS on a Dell Chromebook and I installed Ubuntu on my Dell Latitude 5480. I bought both of them off of Ebay. I absolutely love them. Now I hope to learn how to get my own VPS, icloud, and email.

Dear Lord,

Give us discernment we pray,
so that we may approach decisions
with spiritual wisdom and sensitivity.

Just as You told Samuel to not look at appearance
or height of a man’s stature,
We pray that we too look not on
outward appearances.

God You do not see how man sees,
but You look at the heart.

I know that we are living in days,
in this crooked generation,
when there is so much deception,
there is Deception not only in the world,
but in the Church,
it is often difficult to know the truth.

Yet You have told us that if we know the truth,
the truth will set us free.

So we pray that you give us discernment,
Righteous God,
but also give us the gentle Spirit of Christ,
that the love of Jesus may show forth in our lives,
as we seek to walk worthy for You.
