Just bought a $65 2TB My Passport SSD. Installed VirtualBox on my Win11 laptop and created a Ubuntu virtual machine (VM) on My Passport. Worked so well I loaded the Zorin iso and created a second VM. I plan to keep on going with other flavors! Thanks Jeff, a new world opened up to me once I joined this channel!

When we think about Freedom, as it relates to our computers and technology, there's a story here, a story that was written quietly, continuously during the past 30 years. It wouldn't be interesting if it didn't affect our lives--and maybe it didn't, then, not so much.... until everything started changing, right in front of the eyes of the consciously awake world.

"If youβve ever gone further into the diverse and layered world of Linux than installing a pre-packaged distribution like Ubuntu or Mint, youβve probably come across someone who claims that the proper way to refer to βLinuxβ is actually as βGNU/Linuxβ, or has gone on a rant about how binary blobs are dangerous, or any number of other topics. Any of these points may in fact be valid, but will instantly turn away anyone who is simply looking for a quality piece of software and may not yet care about the finer points of FOSS or the motivations of the people who are involved in creating the software. " -- Essay, Linux's Marketing Problem (2019)

"These beliefs about [free] software are passionately held and firmly believed, but arenβt a good way of interacting with the outside world. The core problem here is that people with deep knowledge on a subject often have difficulty relating that knowledge to the general public, and they need some help."

This guy started designing the world's most popular Unix-like computer operating system in 1983. He has been telling the world the truth about Software Freedom, while fighting against digital tyranny, spying and privacy abuses for 30 years. Few people listened. "It's too complicated," they said. "I don't have time for that," they said.
Meanwhile, GNU/Linux became the most powerful Operating System in the world, used by the technology industry, (not many consumers). Today, most of the server-side Internet and all of the world's supercomputers run on the Operating System he designed, GNU/Linux. Richard Stallman gave away all of his life's work, for the world to use, for free.
In 2019, he was kicked out of his apartment, because he couldn't pay the rent.

A PRAYER FOR LEARNING
Teach me, Lord,
What I don't know.
Show me which way
And where to go.
Alone I stumble,
Alone I fall,
But your gentle voice
Leads through it all.
Take my hand,
Light my way,
Be my beacon
Night and day.
I am weak
And sometimes so low,
But you give me strength
And make me whole.
Teach me, Lord and Father.
Your child has become like new.
Empty me of myself
So I can live for you.
In Jesus name,
Amen. πβ€οΈ

On this Telegram channel, we teach you how to eliminate tyrannical 'big tech' organizations from your life, like Microsoft (Windows), Apple, Google, by learning to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and the Linux Operating System. We are proud to be the top Patriot technology channel on Telegram!
We go beyond the concept of 'alternate platforms', to the place where you need to be to truly take back control -- the operating system level -- and show you how to get complete control over your technology, once and for all. Linux is the future, it is Digital Freedom!

It's the little things that make me happy! Bought a laptop at the pawn shop and got Linux Mint loaded after a few issues. Slowly adding one app at a time-everytime I think I need to do something on windows, I search on Linux for it and get it installed. Slowly chipping away at doing away with windows. And just discovered it's a touch screen too! Almost ready to get back to the LMS.

About a week ago, a very brave group of Patriots set off on a journey in a private group here on Telegram and the Jeff.pro LMS, to learn web development in the world's most popular programming language, Python. That journey has started now.
As far as we know, it's the first time a group of Patriots has organized and started off on a educational journey like ours. Some are interested in learning new careers, others as a hobby. Take note of this historic news--you will probably hear about our students working on Patriot technology projects in the future!
Email shane@jeff.pro to learn how you can join the group. Learning to program in Python is considered easy compared to other languages. It may be a decision that opens many new doors in your life!
