Thought a lot about it, for a long time.

Not quite sure how my country got to a place where it's divided more or less in half,
in to "socio-political factions."

They say it's to keep us fighting with each other.
Reacting, instead of digging deeper.
Right vs. left, I guess.
Who even knows anymore.

They throw so much at us,
at everyone.
Can't blame people for being confused.
Or maybe we can.
Wake up, old friends on the "left." It's about time you look inside your heart and realize what matters.

I guess sometimes we don't get complete clarity until things happen to us firsthand.
The reality about when that clarity arrives, doesn't mean we're selfish,
It's human nature.
Might even be why we're all here in this big classroom.

Some time ago,
I prayed to God with a pure heart, and He sorted it all out.
What a change.
What grace.
Such awesome strength.
Forgiveness..
And He gave me a beautiful family of my own.
My son's birth was the most incredible thing I've experienced here on Earth.

And now, when I look at my fellow Americans, I know in my heart, which of those "socio-political factions" is correct.
I have complete clarity about it, and this is how I know:

Despite disagreements, arguments, misunderstandings, or whatever it is that seems to divide them from time to time, and we should be patient with them,
It's my fellow Americans with conservative values who are right, in the eyes of the Universe,
Because they never stop fighting to protect the lives of the unborn.

Take good care of yourself

Before he was born, Jesus was already present to his parents on Earth. Living safely in his mother's womb, he was with them throughout the day. They would have felt his presence as they worked, prayed, and rested.

Jesus accompanies us too during Advent, in our hearts, minds and souls. In every tabernacle in the world, He is present.

Come thou long expected Jesus. The time is short. The journey is long. Jesus will be here soon. Let us make sure we are ready for Him.

I have windows in one of my machines and was suprised when I opemed the search menu and there was an option to keep up with Covid whatever in my area. Like it wasn't just a reference to a news update but like an actual feature. Creepy asf

One thing for sure, my mind is now FOSS as well as my computer.

I believe at some point they will deny you service unless you add a hashtag or preferred pronouns to your online accounts. Do you think this reasoning is far fetched? I don't think so

Any reccomendation on buying a laptop with Linux pre-installed? I'm not a computer wiz 😬 but need to learn...

My new employer (that bought my old one) is very woke, publicly traded, and laughable in their zoom training presentations. Don't know how long I can take all the wokeness that's trying to engulf me... but maybe it IS time to recreate our tech, even a separate, Free economy.... and detach ourselves from their control, just as Jeff says.

Most of the Dell laptops will propose Ubuntu instead of Windows...

So if I buy a dell with linux ubuntu from ebay....it will not have Facebook or Windows or Google? Correct?

I am using a Dell/Ubuntu I bought on Ebay very similar to the one several comments above my comment. It has worked very very well and has introduced me to Linux Ubuntu. I have since removed Windows on an older laptop and put Ubuntu on, just to see if I could. It came out fine. Though, I'm going to continue to use the one I bought on Ebay. No regrets. Was well worth the $289 to me.

Long story made short...I had an old HP laptop in the closet because it wasn't able to handle any more Win updates. I stumbled upon this group and figured I had nothing to lose by trying to switch it to Linux and I was right! I did a little research on what Linux flavor would work on my old machine. Linux Puppy Slacko won the process of elimination and now my old useless laptop is a usable again!

Which is Best Linux system for win 10 replacement in-Hp pavilion laptop?

One question, if I backup files and install a new linux distributionOS successfully; what about the FB and Windows and Google that is still there? Can any of them "pop up" and show me what "friends" are posting; ask me if I want to update now or later?......you know can they still monitor and bother me?

I installed Ubuntu on an old HP Pavillion that was not working properly. That was about three months ago. It works wonderfully and has never given me another problem. Ubuntu si so much better than Windows. It overheated and turned itself off with windows.

I am a 65 year old machinist and am not very computer savvy. After following Jeff.pro for a while I thought what the heck, I’ll try it. I downloaded Linux mint cinnamon and made a bootable usb. I played with it for a while, running Linux from the usb. Finally I installed it on a Hp-15-db0xxx laptop and kept windows. I remembered we had a HP 23 all in one desktop with a new hard drive that never had an OS installed. So I drug it out of the closet (after 3 years) and installed Linux on it as well. I’m very pleased with both installations. I plan to remove windows completely soon. I know if an old man can do it, you can too. It’s not hard, you just have to pay attention to what you’re doing. My new Linux on both machines is clean, smooth and fast.
