Either I'm getting old, or I'm spoiled by plug n play, but I can't help wishing for a phone and a computer that are already de-googled and de-appled. I see T-mobile mentioned a lot here, are they less "liberal-left" than AT&T? Where did you receive your phone from, ebay?

I used my Raspberry Pi to be a Network Attached Storage (NAS) that I have Linux, Windows, and Android devices attached. Wife hasn't let me do her Mac yet.

I installed Linux Mint on my laptop yesterday and deleted Windows permanently! Mint runs seemlessly!

Done. I loaded Ubuntu on another laptop. For some reason, the software tab doesn't show any to load anymore (except the popular ones), even when I search by name. So I switched this laptop to Linux mint to see which one I like more.

I don't have words to describe how in love I'm with Linux Mint 😍 thanks to everyone for sharing so valuable knowledge! 🙏

Just went on ebay and got reconditioned Dell (intel i5) with Linux Mint on it for my high schoolers who share a Windows machine. Seller already sold 26 of 30 machines, does many. Once the girls get Linux, they will load Libre and so forth. They know "why". Their generation is starting to see clearer than mine did at their age. I am sure they will move the other laptop later. Phones will switch during '22. I so like seeing this course being taken willingly by them "for cause".

Sharing my journey… somehow I managed to flash a usb and install Ubuntu server onto my old (early 2009) Mac Mini. Feeling very accomplished, a little stunned and laughing at my “now what?” status. Next to research ssh keys and how to use my new server… 😂 feels a bit like jumping off a cliff and almost as exhilarating
