Well, yahoo is joining the spy network. Not that they were not already but…. This is what my yahoo app asked me today when I opened it. Can’t wait to get my new phone with a FOSS operating system.

One thing I notice is that it does not say Disallow. It says Ask App Not to Track, this leaves it up to them whither or not to honor your request to not track you.

Their language is always worded in a deceptive way.

I access Yahoo Mail only through an open source client. Evolution on Linux, and K-9 mail on my de-Googled Android.

You have to go to the address search.brave.com. Brave Search comes from the makers of Brave Browser (Brendan Eich).

Brendan Eich used to be the CEO of Firefox, but he was forced out because he donated money to try and keep traditional marriage a thing. Brave Search is also the only search engine I know of that has it's own search index and doesn't use the big three (Google, Yahoo, Bing), except Brave Search says they are using Bing image results right now while they are building their own image search index.

Brave Search does not feed money back to Big Tech through ads like the other alternative search engines. Brave search says they are going to create their own ad network. (like Gab social did)

I FINALLY got Linux Mint to load and WORK. So excited.

I have to say this group has opened me up to more techie stuff than what I would otherwise be doing or learning. I am so glad to be a witness to my growth as well as others sharing what they are doing. I am in the process of deleting apps off of the iPhone which is a tricky 5 step process!!
