Marine Corps Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., commander of U.S. Central Command, in a live briefing a few minutes ago, said the United States military has "reached out to the Taliban" and asked them for enhanced protection at the Kabul airport.

Press conference is over. Gen. McKenzie more or less downplayed what happened today. Said while "everyone is saddened by the loss of life," the "evacuation mission" will continue.

Conservative social media site Gab received a letter from the congressional committee "investigating" the Jan. 6th events at the U.S. Capitol. Gab is focused on free speech. Will the Democrats continue to use government intimidation to try to silence political opposition? The way I see it, probably.
