Maybe find and show him documentation about how Windows is nothing but spyware, tracking your every keystroke. Get him involved in Linux and how it's open source, maybe he can write code for it to make it better (if possible!! ) Part of being an engineer is knowing how software works. My sons used to take radios and electronic gadgets apart to figure them out and then put them back together. This was in 80s/90s. Now one is a mechanical engineer, the other is a computer network engineer.

Have told my very similar Teen the same, he's agreed to dual boot his main PC but wants to keep Windows for School laptop. I told him engineers have to learn systems so he has to have a go, done a bit of Arduino and 3d printing so should be ok

I use Namecheap hosting. It's reliable, always up, VERY affordable, and has regular CPanel. I run a Wordpress website for my art business. I've used lots of other hosting services, and many are very slow.

I'm living in one of the big cities in Germany. Maybe 10 years ago the city administration switched all computers and the data processing to Linux. And they were really proud. Everything worked fine. Nobody complained. Then, after a few years Microsoft build a big domicile here with thousends of new jobs. And within a few weeks the city administration switched back to Windows... I'm pretty sure Microsoft "sponsored" a few new PCs and servers. And spies...

I am trying to put an LG Stylo 3 into fastboot mode but no matter what I do, it will not enter fastboot. Anyone have an idea as to what I can do? My PC is on Linux Mint. I do have a windows laptop available that I have to use for my business.

It's the 'plug & play instant gratification' that so many have come to expect in life. That doesn't apply to this situation and cannot. Far too many legalities to be further investigated and brought out. It will happen. But it takes a lot of time. I'd love to see Biden gone. But instant gratification is not going to happen.

It could also be that your wife is taking in statements from the MSM that have convinced her this is all ‘conspiracy theories.’ Love her and be patient. Yes definitely. I prefer Telegram. Instead of sharing personal info with alot of people when I would rather not, I'm actually communicating with people in ways that improve my life.

I am FREE!!! ... I am free! I have broken the chains of bondage of BIG Tech with the help and motivation of this team. I have to admit I tried 3 distro's in this effort and finished with Mint. In order to stay motivated in making the Linux leap I forced myself to completely wipe the File Systems on all drives and start from scratch with Btrfs. I have all backups. I wiped 7 TB and reformatted a couple of times in the effort. This put me in a necessary bind so that if I gave up it would cause more trouble to go back. At least a 4 days build and weeks of tweaks effort from scratch to my MS setup. Instead I used the 4 days to push through installation and learning I could do this. Never again looking back. The wipe was the only path to a Linux victory for me.
