Good morning family. I just wanted to encourage those of you who have hit a roadblock on this journey we are on. NEVER QUIT!! I hit several with trying to find drivers for enabling WiFi on Ubuntu and last night I spent three hours until I was finally able to get my HP printer to be recognized wirelessly on Linux Mint.

Please don't throw in the towel when things get frustrating because the reward of solving these little issues that arise along the way is far greater than you can imagine. Each time you figure it out, your self confidence goes up a little more.

Jeff was right, he is telling you the truth. Just like we are uncomfortable with what's going on in our world today, you might be uncomfortable with figuring out this new switch to a different OS. Sometimes it takes us being uncomfortable for CHANGE to occur. Take back your freedom one step at a time and NEVER QUIT.

God Bless

Where do you find wireless print drivers for Linux?
Friends, a simple question. On your computer or mobile device, what is the one feature (email, web browser, social network etc.) you can't do without?

De-google your (Android) phone by installing Lineage OS. Since Android is based on the Linux kernel, its original form is free, open-source software. Lineage OS is based on the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP), which takes all the innovations of Android without any of the Google. If you are tech-savvy, you can build Lineage OS from the source code. If you are not tech-savvy, you can follow the instructions on their wiki to install Lineage OS on just about any Android device. Here's a link to their wiki and the device list. Click on your manufacturer to get a list of all the phones that are supported.

I've been diving into books and videos all day everyday at work. I really want to understand this technology. I use to run from the word or though of UNIX and Linux but after gaining a little knowledge.....I can't stop now. It's an obsession. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for exploring this Jeffrey. With evidence of phone manufacturers deliberately slowing down phones in order to "encourage" owners (renters) to buy a new device, this is becoming an essential resource to retain actual ownership of your device.

I wonder if it's possible to change a cheap Android phone model (Orbic Wonder, 2 of them) to a Linux or something? Or how to find out maybe?

Has anyone run into the roadblock of Verizon actively blocking developer functions on Android devices? I’ve heard if you use a phone connected to the Verizon network you might not be able to fully reboot and root the device.

I've gone back and forth between Linux and windows over the years. Linux always seem to have something that didn't work quite right so I would have to go back to Windows. But I have to say Ubuntu 20.04.3 is delightfully complete! Especially the Google drive integration (yeah yeah I know). I'm running it on an Intel compute stick connected to an old Sony TV. It makes a great garage computer. Plus I can take the stick with me anywhere and plug it into any TV that has an HDMI connector. Great alternative to a laptop.

Friends, we are building an exciting, important new technology community together. I've said many times, this Telegram channel is here to help set America free from reliance on the "big tech" operating systems that we don't fully understand, such as Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Android, and others. That's an important mission. This channel grew almost overnight, we're not going anywhere. We are already the biggest community of American Patriots studying together to learn about Free and Open Source Software and the Linux Operating system on Telegram, and probably anywhere else. That's very special, friends, we built it together. It's a beautiful thing. And we will be growing in the future.

As most of you know, today is an important day in American history. Many of our friends are focused on other Patriot telegram channels, where they're talking about the Arizona audit. I believe many of us will have that on our mind today. So you can understand if our chat room is a little more quiet than normal. I've said many times, in technology as in life, communities are an ebb and a flow, some days they're more busy than others. Doesn't take away from the important work we're doing here. We will be here. And yes, it's important work we are doing. While other Patriots are solving other problems for America, we will be here, today, tomorrow, and in the future, helping you take back your Digital Freedom. 🇺🇸
