I believe, The ability to channelise 1 stream of thought at a time demands practice and levels of realisation and it can either be achieved by deep emotional hits offered by tragic incidents of life or a point of deep curiosity.
Either of 2 can’t be consciously cracked but there’s another way, which is “Practice”.
Those who have 39 minutes of spare time, do watch The wonderful story of henry sugar.
Though it’s a fiction, but does reflect upon the essence of practice.
