I was on a hunt to find an app for mobile data planning and usage analytics and found this app called [traffic-light].
My main goal was finding something that can track data usage automatically and also lets me enter my plan like if I bought it yesterday I have to be able to enter that as a starting date and also the usage number I am currently on and this app perfectly does that and also gives you a status bar icon of ur internet speed which is a nice addition.
It has usage history too.
Try it if u struggle like me.

I am building an alternative to rize and activity-watch, which is a screen time and focus tracker for you desktop, and surprisingly two people in the community are already doing that π Robi makes stuff and Kirakos. There is an already finsihed one from The Software Guy too.
I want it to work in everything...Linux (niri, hyprland, sway, i3, gnome, kde), Windows and Macos.
And its in ZIG. I am learning and building along the way and obviously I use AI but I am trying to embrace this.
Currently its on niri since I am daily driving it but I don't think its difficult to implement the other backends once the foundation is done.
And another thing it will be a zig daemon + tray icon + web dashboard + plugins like syncthing and activity-watch itself, I don't wanna do the electron and tauri cross platform thing which is already what I am doing but with more resource usage.
The focus tracker will be driven by profiles that you can create and it will not allow you to launch apps and websites that are blocked by your profile.(you probably used something similar on your phone)
for the plugins, I am thinking to have my own like browser-extension, gnome-extension(which is already built and at 14K+ downloads π), vscode-extension but also support the wakatime api so that all the editors which has wakatime plugin already built can use our engine too.
finally I will let AI in (some might not like this but it will be 100% opt in). so the idea is why use the dashboard I built when you can vibecode the exact thing you want..still brainstorming this but it will be a great feature.
we will see how it goes.

I built a 90-day Backend Mastery roadmap for developers who want to go deeper into backend engineering.
It covers 17 systems across Linux, networking, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, system design, distributed systems, Kafka, Kubernetes, cloud, CI/CD, observability, security, and more.
It includes curated resources, hands-on labs, checklists, and a day-by-day plan.
If you're serious about leveling up your backend skills, check it out:

Introducing YegnaGram/α¨α-αα«α [ t.me/yegnagrambot/feed ]
i built this project thinking of what if we have a single feed so we can discover other creators, or what if clients browse the posted content and see potential employment based on their skill-related posts, or what if you discover your next co-founder :) who knows
it would be cool if you share it so we can have so many channels to be added across the different communities/Categories
currently we support developers, designers, editors(motion, video, any editors related), and there is also a startup category for that. you can add your startup e.g:- Addis AI, Lucy AI. you can showcase your updates and also inspire upcoming generations who want to own their own startup
for any feedback and bug report: [ https://t.me/dag_shell?direct ]

not as jaw dropping as robi's claude usage π.
ps: I asked gemini to look at my gize.db and do a wrapped for all the data it accumulates.
gize on linux is almost done only the web dashboard is left then I will tackle MacOS.

Yadgar is done.
This one started with an idea from @atocodes. I picked it up and started building it with Go while he was working on the Equb Manager backend.
A universal desktop state recovery engine. It continuously tracks your desktop state in the background so that after an unexpected shutdown or power loss, you can restore your workspace and continue where you left off.
Itβs built as a collaboration with @atocodes project for Windows (Stable), Linux (Testing), and macOS (not stable yet since its not being tested), with the core designed to stay platform-independent.
Itβs now open source on GitHub. The CLI binaries are available in the Releases section.
