I really really want to thank ChatGPT, not because it answers my questions but because of how it lets me explain my problem thoroughly so that I can get the best answer. And sometimes I get the solution while explaining it πŸ˜‚. Isn't that something?

These are the Ethiopian tech channels I surf around in telegram. To be honest, it becomes tiring sometimes. Some are High School students, younger mnamn. you might sometimes get into an existential crisis πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚and also too motivated some other times. So use them wisely πŸ˜„.

Patience and Hope I don't know what it really is but when i read the count of Monte cristo there was a line that goes "The human intelligence is compressed in these two words - Patience and Hope". As I was reading it, it didn't hit me like it does today.…
I don't think u guys remember this post where I yap about my skill issues 🀣🀣.

Anyways, to recap I wanted to build Unofficial [BDU-SIMS-API] (SIMS - Student Information Management System) where you can get Your general grade status for all the years, Your detail grade status for a specific semester and the remaining courses you have to take before you graduate.

I did it and surprisingly we used it when we were doing an assignment for our Mobile App Development course where we build an app called [BiT-Connect].

Today I got some time to do stuff and I am containerizing this API with Docker since Docker is on my 'Must Learn' list. I will post what I learned and also the result.

If I like a song, that is because it has some great hook or the melody is catchy or just I liked the mood. I am not a lyrics person. The voice is just an instrument playing notes to me. I always try to find melody in the singers voice not words.

This quote applies well to developers:

"People overestimate what they can do in a day but underestimate what they can achieve in a year."

I containerized the api, but I am stuck with one error.

Puppeteer, which is a scraping package for JS needs a chrome instance to work. So, I need a chrome instance in my docker container. I am currently figuring that out.

β€” [Drake's new song]

I didn't listen to the lyrics, I read it in the comment sectionπŸ˜‚. And he mentions habeshan girls. What's going on??
On an unrelated note, I extended my PC's RAM to 20GB and now this thing is cruising πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

"Boredom is a filter. Common ideas come before it. Uncommon ideas come after it. Sit with a project long enough to get bored with it, then sit a little more. The most useful insights bubble up after you get bored."

-- From James Clear's newsletter

From experience this thing is so true. Starting from writing essays back in the day when I was applying for unis to these days working on my projects I always get bored first before coming up with a great idea. But the problem is I reach for my phone before boredom hits. So that means no great idea.

Please, be free from any instant dopamine hit when working on important projects coz the first step is getting bored !!

Are you curious who discovered the first "Computer Bug" 🐞?
Dr. Grace Hopper was a computer-language pioneer and mathematician who found the first-reported computer bug in 1947. Learn the full fascinating history here: https://lunduke.substack.com/p/the-story-of-the-first-computer-bug.

I noticed you can be more productive right after you wake up. Just get to it, no 🀳. Straight to your PC and do some work.

You need to trick your mind. Don't let it know your next move😁
