Crypto analyst ZachXBT has reported that a scammer using the pseudonym Ape_31 has defrauded over 250 crypto investors over the past year, stealing over $650,000.
The scheme itself consisted of the attacker publishing fake screenshots of profits from a Bybit demo account. Subsequently, he created a news account and convinced victims to use his paid services. He would then siphon off as much funds as possible and block people.
