Today, the crypto community celebrates a big milestone. Fourteen years ago, on May 22, 2010, the world saw the first-ever purchase made with Bitcoin (BTC).
The buyer was programmer Laszlo Hanyecz, one of the first Bitcoin miners. On that day, he spent 10,000 BTC to buy two pizzas. At the time, the purchase cost him about $40. With today's Bitcoin rate, Hanyecz would have paid $701,383,000.
