Americans embracing AI despite scam fears — survey

AI is working its way into education, communication and even science, it’s clearly innovating technology — a survey of 2,000 US adults revealed that only 18% feel “very confident” in their ability to identify a scam. Almost half (48%) of Americans believe that the rise of AI has made them less “scam-savvy”, according to a new survey by BOSS revolution.

Between creating fake news (68%), robo-callers with realistic voices (67%) and sending texts from familiar phone numbers (62%), the possibility and probability of falling victim to a scam may cause anxiety for many Americans. RT

The judge ruled Google’s Alphabet unit monopolized online search ads. Now, antitrust enforcers are soliciting input from outside companies — a rare bid to break up Alphabet Inc.’s Google, just one of the options being considered by the US Department of Justice (DoJ).

The move would be Washington’s first push to dismantle a tech company for illegal monopolization since unsuccessful efforts to break up Microsoft Corp. two decades ago. Elon Musk is building a giant Artificial Intelligence (AI) supercomputing cluster called 'Cortex' at his gigafactory in Austin, Texas. This supercluster is designed to support Tesla's advancements in Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology and the Optimus robot.

The facility will house around 100,000 NVIDIA H100 and H200 chips to train Tesla's neural networks.
