In Drop 22, Q asks us what former President used the military to save the Republic.
We are then asked โwhat occurred exactly?โ.
The answer: Lincoln. Lincoln invoked the Insurrection Act during the Civil War.
The caveat to this, is that the Supreme Court at the time overruled him, and ruled that suspending Habeas Corpus was unconstitutional.
So what did Lincoln do?
He ignored them.
I dunno about yโall - but that fact seems pretty relevant to me right about now.
