The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"طَلَبُ الْعِلْمِ فَرِيضَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ"

“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.”
[Reported by Ibn Mājah (no. 224) authenticated by Al-Albāni]
