Surah Ad-Duhaa: Guidance and Clarification

Alhamdulillah we are honoured to have another online scholarly lecture with Shaykh Mis'ad ibn Musa'id Al-Husayni حفظه الله

Allah's Messenger ﷺ became sick and did not stand in night prayer for two or three nights. Then a lady (the wife of Abu Lahab) came and said, "O Muhammad! I think that your devil has left you, for I have not seen him with you for two or three nights!" Then Allah عَزَّ وَجَلَّ revealed:
وَٱلضُّحَىٰ ○ وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ ○ مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ ○
'By the morning brightness, and by the night when it darkens, your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you, nor hates you.
(Sahih Bukhari 4950)
