To Allāh we belong, and to Him we will return.

‎Dr Muhammad Muhsin Khan, who famously translated the Qurʾān into english passed away in Madīnah today, aged 97 (in Hijrī years).

‎He was also the first person to translate Ṣaḥīh al-Bukhārī into english.

‎May Allāh have mercy on him, and bless him with perpetual rewards for his work.

It is sunnah to fast on Mondays, and also on the Day of ʿArafah.

Later on in his life, he embraced Islam, and changed his name to Mohammed Amir. He constucted over 90 masjids in India.
