Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness
Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is:
اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت
The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306]
Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā anta,, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduka, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿtu, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿtu abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant
Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

Give ṣadaqah, make duʿāʾ, and place your trust in Allāh. You never know what blessings He has written for you.🤲
Say, “Surely it is my Lord Who gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills of His servants. And whatever you spend in charity, He will compensate you for it. For He is the Best Provider.”
[Sūrah Sabaʾ, Verse 39]

Reminder: Tomorrow is Monday. The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays.
Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said:
It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

Isr*el killed 8 year-old Fatima Hisham al-Bayook, the last surviving member of her family. 💔
Fatima succumbed to her injuries after being struck by gunfire east of Deir al-Balah, Gaza, just days ago. Despite desperate pleas for her urgent medical evacuation in the hope of saving her life, she could not be saved.
Her mother and two younger siblings had already been killed in an Isr*eli strike on 13 December 2023. Her siblings were Leen, a baby less than a year old, and Asaad, just three years old.
Fatima was all that remained of her family. Now, she is gone too.
A mother. Three children. An entire family erased from one another’s lives. An 8 year-old girl who had already lost everyone she loved, and whose own life has now been taken.

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,
"The reward of the prayer offered by a person in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of the prayer offered in one's house or in the market (alone).
And this is because if he performs ablution and does it perfectly and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for every step he takes towards the mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and his one sin is taken off (crossed out) from his accounts (of deeds).
When he offers his prayer, the angels keep on asking Allāh's Blessings and Allāh's forgiveness for him as long as he is (staying) at his Musalla.
They say, 'O Allāh! Bestow Your blessings upon him, be Merciful and kind to him.'
And one is regarded in prayer as long as one is waiting for the prayer."

Saudi Arabia has intercepted a Houthi missile reportedly heading towards the Makkah region, with the interception taking place approximately 21 kilometres from Masjid al-Ḥarām, home to the Kaʿbah, the holiest site in Islam. 💔
The incident has raised serious concerns among Muslims worldwide, given the proximity to the sacred city where millions of Muslims gather for Ḥajj and ʿUmrah.
Makkah and the Kaʿbah hold a unique place in the hearts of Muslims across the world. Any threat near the holy sanctuary is deeply distressing for the Ummah.

Seek Allāh’s help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allāh alone. He grants it to whoever He chooses of His servants. The ultimate outcome belongs only to the righteous.

Surely for Muslim men and women, believing men and women, devout men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who guard their chastity, and men and women who remember Allāh often - for all of them Allāh has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

Former US President Bill Clinton quoted the Qurʾān while condemning anti-Muslim rhetoric, declaring: “I’m tired of people denigrating Muslims for being Muslims.”
He referenced a verse his daughter, Chelsea, introduced him to, highlighting a powerful message of unity and mutual understanding:
“O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another.”
[Sūrah al-Ḥujurāt, Verse 13]
Clinton recalled how Chelsea read the Qurʾān from beginning to end at the age of 15 and encouraged him to read the verse.
A reminder that our differences are not a reason to despise one another, but an opportunity to understand one another.
