Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said:

If you were not to commit sins, Allah would have swept you out of existence and would have replaced you by another people who have committed sin, and then asked forgiveness from Allah, and He would have granted them pardon.

It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

Little Misk al-Dalu was killed by Isr*eli gunfire as displaced Palestinians seeking refuge in Gaza’s tents came under fire. Even the places families turn to for safety offer no guarantee of protection. 💔

May Allāh grant Misk the highest ranks of Jannah and bring an end to the suffering of the people of Gaza.

For the fifth week in a row, NFL star Azeez Al-Shaair has used his platform to remember Palestinian children killed or affected by Isr*el’s genocide in Gaza.

During the Houston Texans’ game today, he wore the name Maryam Ghanem on his eye tape, honouring the young girl who survived an Isr*eli airstrike on her home but watched her mother burn to death.

A small gesture, carrying the name and story of a child the world must not forget. 🇵🇸💔

Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiloa urges the world not to forget Palestinians in Gaza as part of an UNWRA appeal.

In the video he says: “They are not dead; they are people who have been killed. They are not just numbers. Theare lives that had a name, a face, and a family. Dreams, and memories. They are not collateral damage. They are girls and boys. And when we stop calling things by their names, when we accept a language that hides the pain, we begin to lose our humanity.”

He then goes on to say that “The Isr*eli government has killed more than 74,000 people in Gaza” and they have “been living for decades with displacement, violence, loss, grief, trauma, uncertainty and injustice.”

Calgary Opera has removed bass-baritone Gabriel Sanchez-Ortega from the remaining performances of Tosca after he displayed a Palestinian flag during the curtain call on opening night.

The company described the action as unexpected and unauthorized, stating that individual political protests violate their policy and interfere with the shared artistic experience they aim to provide for audiences and performers.

Sanchez-Ortega, who was performing the role of Angelotti, an escaped political prisoner, has publicly said he has no regrets. He has also claimed that financial threats were made against the opera company in connection with the incident.

Sean Glass, an Israeli military commander reportedly in the United States, is facing calls for investigation over his alleged role in the killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab.

Glass commanded the “Vampire Empire” tank company, which an investigation identified as operating near the car carrying Hind and her family when they came under Israeli fire in Gaza on 29 January 2024.

According to the allegations, Glass was in command of the unit and may have personally ordered troops to open fire on the vehicle. Hind’s family were killed, and Hind was left trapped in the car, pleading for help. The two paramedics dispatched to rescue her were also killed.

A 27-year-old Somali-American man, Ebro Ahmed, risked his own life to save nearly 20 children after a school bus began rolling down a Minnesota street while its driver suffered a medical emergency. He climbed aboard and pulled the emergency brake, preventing what could have ended in tragedy. Thankfully, no children were injured.

His actions deserve to be celebrated, especially at a time when Somalis in America are so often portrayed negatively in the media.

Somalis should not be defined by stereotypes or negative headlines. Ebro's courage is a reminder that humanity, compassion and bravery transcend backgrounds. ❤️🇸🇴

🏀 NBA star Kyrie Irving has offered to pay the $11,941 fine imposed on NFL linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair after he honoured a Palestinian girl killed in Gaza by writing her name on his eye black.

Asked about his offer, Irving described Al-Shaair as a brother and praised him for standing up for people whose voices are often unheard.

“It's a selfless act when you can show up for others that don't necessarily have a voice for themselves,” Irving said.

He also reflected on how people in America can go to sleep in comfort while innocent people, especially children, are losing their lives around the world.

Two athletes using their platforms to remember Palestinian children and remind the world that their lives must never be forgotten. 🇵🇸❤️
