Sulaymān ibn Buayda narrated on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to teach them when they went out to the graveyard:

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ، نَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ

"Peace be upon you, people of this abode, from among the believers and those who are Muslims, and we, by the Will of Allāh, shall be joining you. I ask Allah to grant us and you well-being."

Thousands of supporters of jailed former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan marched towards Islamabad, demanding his release. Khan had been imprisoned since August 2023, and his supporters said he had spent much of that time in prolonged isolation, with limited access to his family, lawyers and doctors. His lawyers alleged he was being kept isolated for around 22 hours a day, claims Pakistani authorities denied.

The protesters called for Khan’s release, along with greater access to medical care, family visits and his legal team. Khan’s party said negotiations with the government had broken down partly because authorities had refused to allow its leaders to meet him, prompting the march towards the capital.
