It was narrated from Anas ibn Mālik رضي الله عنه‎ that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allāh loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that, wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that, earns His wrath.”

[Sunan Ibn Mājah 4031, Graded Hasan]

O believers! Be mindful of Allāh and let every soul look to what deeds it has sent forth for tomorrow. And fear Allāh, for certainly Allāh is All-Aware of what you do.

And do not be like those who forgot Allāh, so He made them forget themselves. It is they who are truly rebellious.

[Sūrah al-Ḥashr, Verse 18-19]

There is no moving creature on earth whose provision is not guaranteed by Allāh. And He knows where it lives and where it is laid to rest. All is written in a perfect Record.

[Sūrah Hūd, Verse 6]

Nuʿmān ibn Bashir رضي الله عنه reported Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying:

The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness and fever.

[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586a]

It was narrated from Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎ that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎ says:

“I am the opponent of three on the Day of Resurrection, and if I am someone's opponent I will defeat him: A man who makes promises in My Name, then proves treacherous; a man who sells a free man and consumes his price; and a man who hires a worker, makes use to him, then does not give him his wages.”

[Sunan Ibn Mājah 2442, Graded Ṣaḥīḥ]

It was said to al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib رضي الله عنه: “Was the face of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ like a sword?”

He said:

“No, rather it was like the moon.”

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 3552]

Narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,

"The reward of the prayer offered by a person in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of the prayer offered in one's house or in the market (alone).

And this is because if he performs ablution and does it perfectly and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for every step he takes towards the mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and his one sin is taken off (crossed out) from his accounts (of deeds).

When he offers his prayer, the angels keep on asking Allāh's Blessings and Allāh's forgiveness for him as long as he is (staying) at his Musalla.

They say, 'O Allāh! Bestow Your blessings upon him, be Merciful and kind to him.'

And one is regarded in prayer as long as one is waiting for the prayer."

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 647]

On August 15, a group of Israeli soldiers visiting Iceland entered the Palestinian-owned Lava Sweets & Cafe in Keflavík, where they confronted the person working at the business in an incident captured on video.

The footage shows the group threatening the employee, removing a picture from the wall and directing abusive and offensive language towards him. Their behaviour was clearly intimidating and appeared to constitute a deliberate attempt to threaten and harass the person working at the café.

The incident also appears to have extended online. Following the confrontation, the business was targeted by a wave of negative activity on its Google reviews, in what appears to be an organised attempt to damage the café's rating and reputation.

Narrated by ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه‎:

While I was standing amongst the people who were invoking Allāh for ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb who was lying (dead) on his bed, a man behind me rested his elbows on my shoulder and said,

"(O ʿUmar!) May Allāh bestow His Mercy on you. I always hoped that Allāh will keep you with your two companions, for I often heard Allāh's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar were (somewhere). I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar did (something). I, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar set out. So I hoped that Allāh will keep you with both of them."

I turned back to see that the speaker was ʿAlī ibn ʾAbī Ṭālib.

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3677]

You’re not too broken to pray. You’re not too late. Allāh waits longer for you than you’ve been waiting for peace.
