💫 Sayyid al-Istighfār: The Best Prayer for Seeking Forgiveness

Narrated Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه: The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allāh is:

اللهم أنت ربي، لا إله إلا أنت ، خلقتني وأنا عبدك، وأنا على عهدك ووعدك ما استطعت أعوذ بك من شر ما صنعت أبوء لك بنعمتك علي، وأبوء بذنبي، فاغفر لي فإنه لا يغفر الذنوب إلا أنت

The Prophet (ﷺ) added. "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306]

Transliteration: Allāhumma anta rabbī, lā ilāha illā ant, khalaqtanī wa-anā ʿabduk, wa-anā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā’istaṭaʿt, aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿt, abūʾu laka bi-niʿmatika ʿalayy, wa-abūʾu laka bidhanbī, fa’ighfir lī, fa-innahu lā yaghfir al-dhunūba illā ant

Translation: O Allāh, You are my Lord, there is no God but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I abide by Your covenant and promise (to honour it) as best as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

A 10-year-old Palestinian boy was killed by Israeli occupation forces in a village south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Residents of al-Rihiya say that Muhammad al-Hallaq and his friends had been playing football in a local schoolyard when they saw Israeli military vehicles and began to run.

"It's normal, they were afraid and ran back towards the village," said the parent of another boy who was a witness. "There was no threat, no provocation. Nothing."

The parent says that a soldier "opened fire erratically" from the back of a car. Muhammad was shot in the pelvis and rushed by car to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An illegal zionist occupier violently assaulted an elderly Palestinian woman while she was picking olives east of Ramallah in the West Bank.

Footage showed a masked occupier wielding a stick attacking the woman and repeatedly striking her on the head until she collapsed to the ground, before assaulting two foreign activists among the olive trees.

Afaf Saleh Abu Alia, in her fifties, was transferred to the Consultative Hospital in Ramallah for treatment, describing her condition as stable.

Portugal’s parliament has approved a bill banning face veils worn for “gender or religious” reasons in public, in a move seen as targeting Muslim women who wear face coverings.

The measure was proposed by the far-right Chega party and would prohibit coverings such as burqas (a full-body garment that covers a woman from head to foot) and niqabs (the full-face Islamic veil with space around the eyes) from being worn in most public places. Face veils would still be allowed in airplanes, diplomatic premises and places of worship.

The bill stipulates fines for those wearing face veils in public ranging between 200 euros and 4,000 euros.

President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa still has to approve the bill. He could veto it or send it to the constitutional court for review.

Seek Allāh’s help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allāh alone. He grants it to whoever He chooses of His servants. The ultimate outcome belongs only to the righteous.

Two Israeli soldiers died in an explosion near Rafah on 19th October. The occupation immediately accused Hamas and used the claim to justify renewed bombings in Gaza, breaking the fragile ceasefire and closing the Rafah crossing to aid. But U.S. intelligence later revealed the truth the blast was caused by an Israeli bulldozer hitting unexploded ordnance, not a Hamas attack.

The revelation has raised serious questions about Israel’s narrative and its decision to reignite violence. As Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens, the Rafah closure continues to choke the flow of life-saving aid to millions in need.

Jubayr ibn Muṭʿim reported on the authority of his father that he heard Allāh's Messenger ﷺ as saying:

“I have many names: I am Muḥammad and I am Aḥmad, and I am al-Māḥi (the obliterator) by whom unbelief would be obliterated, and I am Ḥashir (the gatherer) at whose feet mankind will be gathered, and I am ʿAqib (the last to come) after whom there will be no Prophet.”

We are officially in the month of Jumādā al-ʾŪlā, which means there are exactly four months until Ramaḍān
54
Narrated by Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,

"The reward of the prayer offered by a person in congregation is twenty five times greater than that of the prayer offered in one's house or in the market (alone).

And this is because if he performs ablution and does it perfectly and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of praying, then for every step he takes towards the mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and his one sin is taken off (crossed out) from his accounts (of deeds).

When he offers his prayer, the angels keep on asking Allāh's Blessings and Allāh's forgiveness for him as long as he is (staying) at his Musalla.

They say, 'O Allah! Bestow Your blessings upon him, be Merciful and kind to him.'

And one is regarded in prayer as long as one is waiting for the prayer."

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 647]

Narrated ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar رضي الله عنه: Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said,

"A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allāh will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allāh will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allāh will screen him on the Day of Resurrection.”

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 2442]

Saudi Arabia marked the beginning of Jumādā al-ʾŪlā, which means there are exactly four more months until Ramaḍān

اللهم بلغنا رمضان

[Allāhumma baliḡnā Ramaḍān]

Oh Allāh, grant us the ability to reach Ramaḍān

It was narrated from ibn al-ʿAbbās رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

"There is no man whose two daughters reach the age of puberty and he treats them kindly for the time they are together, but they will gain him admittance to Paradise."

Reminder: Tomorrow is Monday. The Prophet ﷺ used to fast on Mondays.

Abū Qatāda al-Anṣārī رضي الله عنه reported that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ was asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said:

It is (the day) when I was born and revelation was sent down to me.

[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1162e]

Righteousness is not in turning your faces towards the east or the west. Rather, the righteous are those who believe in Allāh, the Last Day, the angels, the Books, and the prophets; who give charity out of their cherished wealth to relatives, orphans, the poor, needy travellers, beggars, and for freeing captives; who establish prayer, pay zakah, and keep the pledges they make; and who are patient in times of suffering, adversity, and in the heat of battle. It is they who are true in faith, and it is they who are mindful of Allāh.

[Sūrah al-Baqarah, Verse 177]
56
Narrated ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها:
That she borrowed a necklace from Asmāʾ رضي الله عنها and it was lost.

Allāh's Messenger ﷺ sent some of his companions to look for it. During their journey the time of prayer was due and they prayed without ablution. When they returned to the Prophet ﷺ they complained about it.

So the Divine Verse of Tayammum was revealed.

Usayd ibn Huḍayr said (to ʿĀʾishah), "May Allāh reward you handsomely. By Allāh, whenever you have a difficulty, Allāh took you out of it and brought with it, a blessing for the Muslims."

[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3773]

At last, when the Trumpet will be blown with one blast, and the earth and mountains will be lifted up and crushed with one blow, on that Day the Inevitable Event will have come to pass. The sky will then be so torn that it will be frail, with the angels on its sides. On that Day eight mighty angels will bear the Throne of your Lord above them. You will then be presented before Him for judgment, and none of your secrets will stay hidden.

[Sūrah al-Ḥāq̈q̈ah, Verse 13-18]

Abū Hurayrah رضي الله عنه‎ reported: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to say while prostrating himself:

اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي كله دقه وجله وأوله وآخره وعلانيته وسره

[Allāhumma ighfir lī dhanbī kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa awwalahu wa ākhirahu, wa ʿalāniyatahu wa sirrah]

O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret.

In the past few days in El‑Fasher, one of the key cities in the Darfur region of Sudan, more than 1,500 civilians have been killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) during its takeover.

Independent researchers using satellite imagery say they’ve observed clusters of objects consistent with human bodies and large red-stained ground areas, pointing to possible mass killings.

The grave allegations include summary executions, attacks on hospitals and mosques, and large-scale civilian displacement, raising fears of widescale atrocity in Darfur.

Satellite images reveal pools of blood and smoke rising above the city of El Fasher in Darfur, where the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have unleashed mass killings of civilians.

The apparent masses were seen in a maternity hospital, all over residential neighborhoods, on the outskirts of the city and by military bases of the opposing Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
