In a statement, NSW Police confirmed that officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command had launched an investigation into the online threat directed at a religious center in Edmondson Park.

"The matter was reported to police today," the statement read.

"There are no ongoing threats to the community, and initial inquiries indicate the source of the threat was from interstate."

I seek refuge in You from the evil that I have committed. I acknowledge Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for surely none can forgive sins but You.

Ibtihal Aboussad, a software engineer at Microsoft's AI division protested against the company's ties to the Israeli occupation.

During Microsoft's 50th anniversary celebration, the Moroccan Harvard graduate accused AI chief Mustafa Suleyman and Microsoft of aiding the Israeli occupation's genocide in Gaza through tech and military contracts.

🚨 Microsoft has fired two employees who disrupted its 50th anniversary celebration to protest the company’s AI technology ties to the Israeli military.

During the event, software engineer Ibtihal Aboussad interrupted a keynote by AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman, accusing Microsoft of aiding genocide and throwing a keffiyeh scarf onto the stage. Suleyman responded calmly, but the protest forced a pause in the livestreamed event, which included appearances by Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

A second protester, Vaniya Agrawal, also disrupted the event. Microsoft cited misconduct and early termination in both cases. The advocacy group No Azure for Apartheid is supporting the workers.
