VISIT MY MOSQUE 2026 REFLECTION
Today we held our annual Visit My Mosque Day with the Muslim Council of Britain. Nobody came, yet we still see it as a success.
The hadith in Bukhari and Muslim tells us that the Prophet Muhammad(s) was shown the nations and saw a prophet with a small group, a prophet with one or two followers, and a prophet with no one with him. Their reward was complete because their intention was sincere.
Our intentions were clear. We opened our doors to the wider community, something very few of Bradford’s many mosques do. We made the effort, prepared the space, and advertised the event. We also wanted to set an example for others and to show cooperation with a national organisation. These aims were achieved regardless of turnout.
In truth, this event was a test of sincerity. We acted for Allah alone, and we intend to continue opening our doors. May Allah reward everyone who helped and accept our efforts.
