I'm usually not a fan of contemporary art (Damien Hirst and similar to him) because I prefer having actual coherent visual aesthetics over 'here's a rock I found just now but let me tell you a cool story about its meaning' or just art for pure shock value. But sometimes it's exactly what it needs to be and there's no other way to make the concept work. Those pieces are then amazing. Shame it's a very minuscule portion of contemporaries.
