I would also like to address the tragic loss of the KC-135 tanker aircraft yesterday.

🔹️ This incident occurred in friendly territory in western Iraq while the crew was on a combat mission, and again, it was not the result, as CENTCOM has stated, of hostile or friendly fire.

🔹️ We are still treating this as an active rescue and recovery operation.

🔹️ As CENTCOM announced this morning, four pilots have been recovered, and the U.S. Air Force and Central Command will provide updates as information becomes available.
