📰 Foldable iPhone for more than 2000$

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo Apple's first foldable iPhone should arrive around the end of 2026 or early 2027 with a book-style design and a premium price tag of over $2,000.

In the report, Kuo outlines his expectations for the device:
・7.8″ "crease-free" inner display and a 5.5″ outer display (matching a rumor from last month);
・measure between 9 and 9.5 mm when folded, and around 4.5 to 4.8 mm when unfolded;
・a dual-lens rear camera with a front-facing camera for both folded and unfolded states;
・no Face ID authentication,but a Touch ID side button as a means to save internal space;
・positioned as a "true AI-driven phone," with the larger screens allowing for a better multi-tasking AI experience;
・$2,000 (perhaps even above $2,500) as a device for Apple's loyal fanbase.

📆 Mass production is reportedly planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, so perhaps the launch may be suggested for late 2026 or in early 2027. A second-generation model is said to be in the pipeline for a year later.

🥲 Smart Siri is delayed until iOS 19 i.e. 2026

Siri's personalized features and improved integration were supposed to come in the iOS 18.4 update, but now it looks like it won't even be added in iOS 18.5, but delayed until iOS 19.

📰 According to Daring Fireball, Apple representatives have said that implementing new chips for Siri with Apple Intelligence will take longer, and eventually they won't even come out in iOS 18.5:

Siri helps our users find what they need and get things done quickly, and in just the past six months, we’ve made Siri more conversational, introduced new features like type to Siri and product knowledge, and added an integration with ChatGPT. We’ve also been working on a more personalized Siri, giving it more awareness of your personal context, as well as the ability to take action for you within and across your apps. It’s going to take us longer than we thought to deliver on these features and we anticipate rolling them out in the coming year.

📅 2026 is even later than insider Mark Gurman had predicted, saying that some of the Siri features would launch as early as iOS 18.5. At the same time, he notes:

The delays – especially of announced features – are embarrassing for Apple and add more evidence to the idea that the company is struggling in artificial intelligence. They also threaten to set back work on future improvements.
Apple had been planning to make Siri more ChatGPT-like and conversational next year. But now only the initial underpinnings for that upgrade are expected to be ready by 2026, during the iOS 19 release cycle. The actual interface that users experience likely won’t arrive until iOS 20 in 2027.

🧐 Some other insiders agreed with this conclusion, recalling information that the release of the new smart HomePad could be delayed until late 2025.

🇬🇧 Apple Music will feature a playlist from Britain's King Charles III in honor of Commonwealth of Nations Day

🔒 Apple's foldable iPad Pro prototype features under-display Face ID

А new rumor claims that one of Apple's prototypes for the device features under-display Face ID technology.

📰 According to Weibo-based leaker Digital Chat Station, one of Apple's engineering prototypes features an 18.8″ foldable screen with a "metal superstructure lens" that integrates the receiver and transmitter components of Face ID for under-display facial recognition. The leaker provided no other information.

🔎 As for under-display Face ID, it has been rumored for future iPhones for several years, but has so far failed to materialize. Today's rumor is the first to mention under-display Face ID in the context of Apple's foldable plans.

📆 According to analyst firm Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), Apple is planning to launch an 18.8-inch foldable iPad Pro with an OLED display in 2027. Separately, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed LG aims to begin mass production of display panels for a MacBook with a 20.2-inch or an 18.8-inch foldable screen in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In addition, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has also spoken of a foldable ‌iPad in development‌, suggesting that the "giant" tablet would launch in 2028. According to Gurman, Apple does not want the upcoming foldable device to have a crease, instead appearing as a single piece of glass.

📰 Apple is preparing a major redesign of iOS/iPadOS 19 and macOS 16

According to Mark Gurman, this will be the biggest update since iOS 7 in 2013, and since macOS Big Sur in 2020.

🔎 The design of the systems will be based on the visionOS style. The iOS/iPadOS 19 (codenamed “Luck”) and macOS 16 (“Cheer”) systems will be fundamentally changed externally, including updates to the style of icons, menus, apps, windows, and system buttons. As part of the process of working on the updates, the company is working to simplify how the user navigated and controlled their device.

📆 The updates are expected to headline the upcoming WWDC25 conference, which will be announced very soon. A key goal of the redesign is to make Apple's systems more similar and consistent. The update is a top priority for the software development and UI/UX team, which is led by Alan Dye, who previously held stints at fashion brands and came to the company over a decade under Jony Ive's wing.

🔨 Apple Developer Academy has opened in Bali

🇮🇩 Apple has launched the Apple Developer Academy in Tuban, Bali. This is the fourth institution the company has opened in Indonesia, but the first to be open to foreigners.

🎓 The academy has welcomed more than 100 students from 18 to 56 years old from 11 countries. The students will participate in a nine-month program that teaches the basics of programming, design, marketing skills and other aspects, and also includes knowledge of AI.

📍 Students from abroad will be able to study at the Academy if they pass the requirements as stated on the website.
