📲 Companion app in iOS 18.4 for controlling Vision Pro
It lets users queue app and game downloads, open spatial content, easily find helpful tips, and quickly access Vision Pro information right from your iPhone. It also provides information about the visionOS system, serial number, etc.
The app will be available for Vision Pro users when the iPhone is updated to iOS 18.4 and can also be downloaded from the App Store.
Apple Intelligence features in spatial environments such as Image Playground, Genmoji, Writing Tools, and more are now available for developers to test.
For now available for English only in the US, release in April along with visionOS 2.4

For Australia, two additional Siri voice options have been added (to accommodate the Australian accent).
The iOS code also shows traces of new languages of the system itself, which will be activated in the future: Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
In addition, there are some changes in the design of buttons and widgets.

🕵️♂️ The UK government demanded access to all encrypted data of iCloud users.
☁️ Apple agreed to comply, stating that end-to-end encryption technology will not be available to new UK users.
🔓 However, those who have already activated advanced data protection will have to turn it off themselves. Apple cannot disable it remotely, and will issue special instructions to do so. If the user doesn't disable the feature, they simply won't be able to use their iCloud account.

🔎 Details about the iPhone 17 Pro prototype
📰 Insider Majin Bu shared the currently known information about the iPhone 17 Pro prototype, codenamed 253, which is currently undergoing the stage of engineering tests:
📸 A horizontal block with a camera module on the back of the device protrudes 2 mm above the body. The cameras themselves protrude another 1mm above that block. Both black block and body-colored variants are being tested.
📱 The frame of the prototype is made of matte aluminum. Earlier there were rumors that Apple may abandon titanium for the sake of ecology.
⏬️ The Camera Control button has been retained. Probably, it can get new functions.
🥷 The screen diagonal is 6 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display. This seems like an unlikely change. If the information is not a fake, it is likely that the solution is implemented only in the prototype stage.
🔋 The battery has jumped to 5200 mAh instead of 3582 mAh like in the iPhone 16 Pro. This is probably one of the most anticipated innovations. Hopefully, it will persist until release.

📱 Insider Digital Chat Station reported that Apple has decided on the format of its first foldable device. The company is preparing a foldable gadget, which has an external and internal screen.
📏 The external display of the device has a diagonal of 5.49“, while the internal display is 7.74”. Most likely, it will be a premium model of the new iPhone, but there is a possibility that we are expecting something like iPad Mini in a new form factor.

📰 Bloomberg reports that the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and Apple have agreed on the terms of lifting the ban in the country on the iPhone 16 series, which was in effect from October 2024, the parties may sign the agreement as early as this week.
