🖥 Apple seeded the third beta of upcoming an upcoming macOS 15 Sequoia

❗️ The update is targeted to developers for testing purposes. Registered developers can opt-in to the beta through the Software Update section of the System Settings app. Note that an Apple ID associated with an Apple Developer account is required to get the beta.

What's 🆕 :
・macOS Sequoia includes ‌improvements in iPhone‌ Mirroring.

・There are new options for window tiling, and dragging a window to the edge of the display will suggest a tiled location to make it easier to use multiple apps at once.

・Apple is adding a Passwords app for managing passwords, Safari can summarize websites and surface key information, and Notes has support for live audio transcription and math equations.

・Custom emoji or "Genmoji" can be created for any situation and used just like emoji, and Siri is getting much smarter. ‌Siri‌ will be able to do more in apps and will better understand requests, especially those made in regard to on-screen content.

・All of the Apple Intelligence features coming to iOS 18 will also be available in ‌macOS Sequoia‌, but Apple does not plan to add these until later in the beta testing process. Apple Intelligence includes Writing Tools for editing, proofreading, and summarizing text in apps, and an Image Playground allows for AI images to be created from prompts.

📸 EVT photos of iPhone 15 Pro Max prototype with touch-sensitive buttons

📱 Photos have surfaced online of one of the early (EVT) prototypes of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which had a unified tactile volume and lock button, developed under the codename "Project Bongo". According to the project, it was planned that the 2023 device could get touch-sensitive buttons, but this was abandoned at some point. The project was canceled allegedly due to technical issues and unsatisfactory test results.

😉 However, now such touch buttons may appear in the iPhone 16.

📰 An insider who tried out this prototype says the buttons work the same way Magic Trackpad works. For haptic feedback, Apple has created a new electromagnetic engine known as the "Bongo Haptic Engine," but it generates haptic feedback just like the regular Taptic Engine.

・ Finally, Apple Intelligence can also analyse your text and draw out key points. Apple's writing tools include two buttons - Summary and Key Points - that will help you focus on what the text is about.
