π Mac mini gets the M6 chip: Apple's first 2nm silicon, packing 12 cores and graphics with memory bandwidth up to 160 GB/s. The base model with 16GB RAM and M6 starts at $899, while M5 Pro configurations start at $1,699.
π Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips offers up to 36 CPU cores, 80 GPU cores, and up to 512GB of unified memory with bandwidth up to 1.2 TB/s. Pricing starts at $2,499 for the M5 Max version and $5,499 for M5 Ultra.
π Both machines feature the new Apple N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, plus storage speeds up to 15 GB/s (twice as fast as before). Mac mini comes standard with 2.5 Gbit Ethernet, upgradeable to 10 Gbit.
π Both devices launch September 22, running macOS 27 Golden Gate.

π° The new Polishing Cloth still works on any Apple surface or display, as stated in the instructions. The size hasn't changed, but it's a bit darker, much softer, and thinner. Crumple the old one and it snaps back into shape fast β crumple the new one and it stays wrinkled, that's how soft it is. Early buyers describe it as closer to a glasses-cleaning cloth, or very similar in lightness to the Vision Pro's cloth.

π° Apple's 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with a retractable Europlug is now rolling out across 19 European countries plus Vietnam. Folded up, it's smaller than a bar of soap as the prongs tuck flush into the body when not in use, making it a lot more pocket/bag-friendly than a standard fixed-prong charger.
