Insider Kosutami reports that Apple’s smart home hub (possibly called HomePad) is now expected no earlier than September 2026. The device was originally planned to launch in March.

The delay is reportedly due to the new version of Siri, which will only be ready with iOS 26.5, with additional features coming later in iOS 27.
Two versions are rumored:

ℹ️ Apple’s head of smart home hardware engineering, Brian Lynch, has left the company. According to Bloomberg, Oura CEO Tom Hale announced that the executive has joined Oura as Senior Vice President, where he will focus on developing smart rings.

🧠 Industry media link his departure to the ongoing crisis surrounding Siri’s relaunch. Due to difficulties integrating new AI technologies, Apple has been forced to delay the release of an entire lineup of smart home devices.

🎂 Apple is kicking off offline celebrations for its 50th anniversary

📰 The company has announced a series of special Today at Apple sessions across several countries – Canada, France, and Thailand.

🇨🇦 In Canada (exact location and date are still undisclosed), a session will feature figure skater Elladj Baldé.

🇫🇷 At the flagship Apple Champs-Élysées store in Paris, there will be four events:
• March 25: DJ and producer Myd, along with graphic designer So Me
• March 26: SOPORI FM and musician/producer Boombass

🇹🇭 In Bangkok (Apple Iconsiam), a session will take place on March 21 featuring artist Crybaby.

👂 Foldable @iPhone to launch later than iPhone 18 Pro line

📰 Supply chain analyst Tim Long says Apple is indeed testing a new release strategy – with iPhones launching both in fall and spring. The foldable iPhone (possibly iPhone Fold or Ultra) will be unveiled in September alongside the iPhone 18 lineup, but won’t go on sale until December.

• 512GB – from $2600
• 1TB – from $2900

ℹ️ These are preliminary estimates based on the Chinese market and remain unconfirmed. Previously, Mark Gurman reported the device would cost at least $2000. Apple is also expected to release two more devices in spring:

🐌 Apple is holding back new devices because of Siri

Both devices were reportedly finished as early as last year, but Apple is delaying the launch until its upgraded Siri with Apple Intelligence is ready. Apple TV hasn’t been updated since 2022, HomePod mini since 2020.

🖥️ Apple officially discontinues the Mac Pro lineup

🤖 Steve Wozniak doubts AI can replace humans

📰 Ahead of Apple’s 50th anniversary, Wozniak gave an interview to CNN where he expressed skepticism about AI ever fully replacing humans.

😑 The Apple co-founder admitted he barely uses neural networks himself. He occasionally tests chatbots, but finds the results disappointing: responses often feel too “dry and perfect,” missing the real essence of the question.

🤰 Wozniak also joked that big tech is trying to “build a brain” with code, even though humanity already knows a far more natural process that takes nine months. He emphasized that in any conversation, he looks for genuine human reaction.

🧠 Asked whether technology could eventually replace people entirely, he said no. Until we understand how our own brain works, trying to give algorithms empathy makes little sense. AI will continue to improve, but without real-life experience, it won’t truly learn empathy or grasp subtle nuances in human communication.
