OICL AO Interview Question

Why do you wish to join the Insurance Sector?

“Ma’am, I want to join the insurance sector because it is one of the few sectors that truly supports people during uncertain and difficult times. Whether it is a medical emergency, accident, natural disaster, or financial loss, insurance acts as a safety net for individuals and families.

India has become one of the fastest-growing insurance markets globally, but insurance coverage in our country is still relatively low compared to global standards. This shows that a large population still lacks adequate financial protection. The vision of achieving ‘Insurance for All by 2047’ motivated me to look at this sector not just as a career option, but as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.

Recent reforms and policy initiatives by the Government and IRDAI also indicate that the insurance sector will play a major role in India’s future economic and social development.

As a BTech/BCom/BSc graduate, I believe my analytical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills will help me contribute effectively, especially as the insurance industry is rapidly moving towards digital transformation."

OICL AO INTERVIEW QUESTION

(As a follow up question of the previous answer)

Why you wish to join Public Sector only and not the Private sector?

"Sir, the private sector offers excellent opportunities, but I am drawn towards the public sector because of its larger social impact. Public sector insurers like OICL not only operate as businesses but also contribute to financial inclusion and insurance penetration across the country. I value the trust, credibility, and public service orientation of such institutions. I believe this environment aligns better with my long-term career aspirations and desire to contribute meaningfully to society."

Soon, Your SIP Could Be Deducted Directly from Your Salary! 💰

Just like PF and NPS deductions, your Mutual Fund SIP may also be deducted automatically from your salary every month.

🔹 SEBI has proposed a payroll-linked SIP facility for salaried employees.
🔹 Employees can choose to join the facility—it will not be mandatory.
🔹 The deducted amount will be invested in mutual funds, and the units will be allotted in the employee's own name.
🔹 The aim is to make investing easier, encourage regular savings, and help people build long-term wealth.
🔹 SEBI has also proposed relaxing certain rules to make this salary-based SIP system possible.

Note: This is only a proposal for now and has not been implemented yet.
