Some Clarifications regarding OICL AO Interview Data Sheet
Answering the most commonly asked doubts
1) What to fill in Preference Of Posting?
Ans) There's a good chance you will be asked the reason behind choosing a particular place, no matter what you write. So just be honest about it :-
✓ You can choose near home posting as first choice
✓ If not home posting, you can give major cities/ or any particular city of your choice, as a preference
✓ Make sure you are able to justify your choice (but don't be worried about it)
2) What can we give in Academic distinctions, etc.
Ans) Try to include only those skills/certificates which might be relevant for this field. Example, a Prize in Dancing/Sports might not be helpful here.
You can include any debate competitions you took part in, any quizzes, or any activity which directly impacted your qualification and academic skills
Feel free to ask your doubts, if any ✌️

OICL AO Interview Question
Why do you wish to join the Insurance Sector?
“Ma’am, I want to join the insurance sector because it is one of the few sectors that truly supports people during uncertain and difficult times. Whether it is a medical emergency, accident, natural disaster, or financial loss, insurance acts as a safety net for individuals and families.
India has become one of the fastest-growing insurance markets globally, but insurance coverage in our country is still relatively low compared to global standards. This shows that a large population still lacks adequate financial protection. The vision of achieving ‘Insurance for All by 2047’ motivated me to look at this sector not just as a career option, but as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to society.
Recent reforms and policy initiatives by the Government and IRDAI also indicate that the insurance sector will play a major role in India’s future economic and social development.
As a BTech/BCom/BSc graduate, I believe my analytical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills will help me contribute effectively, especially as the insurance industry is rapidly moving towards digital transformation."

I value the trust, credibility, and public service orientation of such institutions. I believe this environment aligns better with my long-term career aspirations and desire to contribute meaningfully to society."
