About Our Group

We oversee the entire electronics hardware integration for HDD. From circuit design, component selection to PCB routing to PCB fabrication to PCBA assembly and testing. We are also involved in all failure analysis of HDD from design phase to pre-production and post production.

About the Role – You will:

You will be required to write a python script to support HDD testing in an environmental chamber (Temperature Voltage Margin) multi- drives tester.

- The script will control a power supply to power the HDD.
- The script will control the chamber temperature.
- The script will perform HDD operation via a SAS Host Bus Adapter or USB-SATA adapter to multiple HDD.
- The script will monitor and log serial port message via a UART interface for multiple HDD testing.

You will have the opportunity to interact, consult and learn with the team of Electrical Integration Engineers coming from a diverse range of electrical backgrounds, most of them having at least 15 years of hardware electronics experience to share with you.

About You

About the Role

- Help out in the development and maintenance of advanced analytics and new data science initiatives, mainly on recommended sort order, rate cache optimisation or experimentation with A/B testing. Other longer term keystone projects may involve, personalisation, predictive customer lifetime value, travel persona segmentation and propensity models.
- Analyse our datasets to uncover key insights and recommendations through the use of effective data analysis and visualisations.
- Assist in building out new analyses, feature engineer for ML models and develop ETL/ELT processing scripts.
- Investigate potential data issues and perform exploratory data analysis in verifying certain hypotheses.

- Good ability in using more complex SQL functions (i.e. windowing, DDL, DML syntax). Be able to understand lengthier, nested queries and visualise what each section is specifically doing to deliver the precise calculation that you want.
- More inclined to work with disparate kinds of datasets, to independently figure out how best to manipulate them to arrive at insights.
- Know how to generally develop dashboards (i.e. Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) to showcase pertinent insights. Not necessary for specific visualization tool knowledge.
- Able to communicate effectively, on systematically breaking down a problem, articulating/distilling key issues and brainstorming solutions, especially as we deal with more complex data science problems and considerations.
- Keen on supporting the development of new areas of analyses, as at times, we are trying to attempt, introduce and convince internal stakeholders of new analytical approaches/KPIs.

- Implement (features, functionality) and maintain plant-wide Operations response system
- Carry out data-analysis and provide inputs into improving existing processes from data collected in Operations response system
- Develop and implement work instruction accuracy tracker using Power Automate and Sharepoint
- Interns will support Line Side Engineers in reviewing and resolving technical issues from daily engine overhaul operations
- Interns will be exposed to how parts are inspected, assessed and accepted through technical variance if found non-conforming. There will be also exposure on how the Line Side Team resolves operational line stops
