Key Responsibilities:

Investor relations:

Assist in preparation (design, develop and publish to investors) of investment materials, including teaser, investor presentation and whitepaper
Identify new and existing relationships with crypto investors, including VC, family offices, private investors, and crypto funds
Build, participate and maintain relationships with a large group of suitable investors for investment into the fund, including taking notes during meetings, maintaining internal CRM platform to organise and track fundraising progress
Coordinate investor due diligence and onboarding


Research

Conduct DeFi industry research and derive analysis to create internal and external reports
Monitor markets across TradFi/CeFi/DeFi and contribute to jointly-authored daily newsletter


Marketing:

Publicise and market the protocol via social media and other communication channels (Twitter, Telegram, Discord, etc)
Supporting on other brand and product campaigns to raise awareness about the Web3 decentralised lending protocol


Other ad-hoc duties/projects as assigned as the role evolves

Skill Sets and Requirements:

Undergoing a penultimate year and above undergraduates/postgraduates with a business / accountancy / marketing / statistics / computer science background
History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, investor relations, venture capital, private equity or web3 projects with excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel

One of the main challenges ahead is to establish a smooth transition from energy generated by fossil fuels to renewable sources of energy without compromising power stability. To guarantee this, there will be a need to store excess energy, for example from solar power, from days with high sunshine duration for use when solar irradiation alone is insufficient to power the load.
The project for this internship is focused on modelling an existing standalone microgrid system including hydrogen generation and storage using Simulink.
An hydrogen electrolyzer is an electrochemical device that consumes electrical power to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen electrolyzers are used for hydrogen production and are considered as part of a green energy production–storage distribution system when combined with a renewable power source, a hydrogen tank, and fuel cell systems.
As part of this internship, experimental data shall be collected from existing components from our MASERA microgrid testbed, including a PV plan, genset, bank load, PEM fuel cell, a Li-ion battery and an AEM electrolyzer.
The data will be used to design a simulation (digital twin) of the microgrid and identify the optimal operating conditions for the different components.

Responsibilities:

Identify and screen potential participants for their eligibility to take part in the COBRA study;
Explain the study criteria and procedures, and obtain written informed consent of participants;
Install and set up the study mobile app on iPhone and Android smartphone models, register new user accounts online apply the study devices on the participants (e.g. strapping an accelerometer to the thigh, applying a continuous glucose monitor sensor to the arm);
Perform follow-up calls to ensure participants respond to the mobile app over 10 days and assist with technical issues that may arise from the mobile app and study devices;
Schedule participants for their end-of-study appointments and return of the study devices;
Check the completeness of data collected on the devices, download the data, and prepare the reports to be emailed to the participants; and
Perform accurate data entry, maintain proper documentation and account for consumables used.

Timing:

Monday to Friday, except Wednesday, Sunday and Public Holidays
Alternate Saturdays required
