Purpose:
The purpose of this intern is to support the analytical laboratory works of our flavor division.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the flavor analyst and working alongside her, the intern will be required to maintain assistance to sample preparation and analysis by GC-MS with speed and accuracy. This will include the basic laboratory requirements such as maintaining a clean and orderly laboratory environment and lab equipment. 


Perform analysis of flavor samples and finished food products with the objective of completely identifying the volatile profile and content of the flavoring chemicals within the product
Perform sample preparation techniques such as solvent extraction, solid phase microextraction (SPME), stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) and dynamic headspace (DHS) to extract the flavor out from the samples
Perform routine maintenance of analytical equipment
Support in method development and troubleshooting projects


Learning Outcomes:


Learn the operation skill of GC/MS, GC/FID, GC-O and necessary maintenance work for the machines
Learn the methods for identification and quantification of chemicals using GC/MS and GC/FID
Learn the advanced sample preparation methods such as SPME, stir bar sorptive extraction and dynamic headspace method

Solution Enablement Package (Intern Project 1)
– Prepare and configure demo package according to pre-defined business use case scenarios using EnOS Cloud Platform including following EnOS components:

Device Connectivity and Management Platform (DCM)
Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)
Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP)
Application Enablement Platform (AEP)

Developer Training Materials (Intern Project 2)
– Develop a set of sample programing for hands-on lab using Java and Python for a 5-day EnOS Developer Training Course.

Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)
Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP)
Application Enablement Platform (AEP)

 
Other Role / Responsibility:
– Support the team in preparing video clip for online self-learning on EnOS products.
– Support the team in the IoT device integration workflow (Device Integration, data processing, AI pipeline, BPM Approval etc), API/HMI/DTV development.
 
Required Skills:
– Degree in a computer-related or engineering-related field
– Good knowledge in development tools such as Python or Java  
– Proficient technical knowledge to understand the requests of customers
– Good communication skills to communicate requests concisely to the software development team
– Strong mathematical skills
– Critical thinking skills to meet the specific needs of clients
