Your job
The candidate will report to the Head of Actuarial Risk Management and work closely with actuarial associates and actuaries in the Life Health Financial Reinsurance regional team. The objective of this position is to assisting in specifying and then implement queries in Bloomberg Query Language so that regular information requests of Bloomberg can be performed efficiently. Documentation and User Acceptance Testing of the finished product will also be required. For example, a weekly markets update could be produced.     There may be opportunities to train actuarial associates how to use Bloomberg. There may be additional work in relation to using Power BI. The successful candidate would get practical experience of some of the considerations in pricing cash financing transactions to insurers via financial reinsurance.
Your profile

Pursuing a university degree in Finance, Computer Science or a degree with a very significant mathematical content;
In the top quartile of class academically;
Good knowledge of Bloomberg and Bloomberg Query Language is mandatory;
Strong Excel (incl. VBA) skills is required;
Access (incl. SQL) and Power BI skills are desirable;
Superior attention to detail and accuracy;
Well-developed time management skills; ability to work independently while supporting the team work;
Good communications skills (report writing and formal presentations)

You should be able to start almost immediately and full-time for the internship, and be able to commit to a 2-month internship period.
