MEPhI signed an agreement with Rostec State Corporation

The agreement is aimed at developing scientific and technological cooperation and training new generation engineers. The document was signed yesterday as part of a meeting dedicated to the tasks of achieving technological leadership.

The cooperation will cover research and development in such areas as micro- and nanoelectronics, new materials, medicine, robotics and artificial intelligence. It is also planned to improve educational programs and strengthen career guidance.

Special attention will be paid to the launch of industrial postgraduate studies (PhD) from 2025, where PhD students will be able to develop ready-made engineering solutions in cooperation with universities and enterprises.

The agreement confirms the importance of integration of science and industry for the realization of national goals and accelerating the introduction of innovations into the economy.

The MRI PAK team, winners of MEPhI’s accelerator program, has started testing their groundbreaking development at the Burdenko Neurosurgery Institute and Hadassah Medical Clinic. This innovation ensures the precision of MRI imaging used in high-accuracy radiotherapy.

🔍 What’s the breakthrough?
A hardware-software complex developed by MEPhI and Gamma Knife Moscow

Center includes:
A cylindrical phantom scanned by an MRI to detect distortions.
Software to analyze images for accuracy, crucial for effective tumor treatment.

🎯 Why it matters:
Regular testing of MRI scanners ensures compliance with stereotactic irradiation standards, improving treatment outcomes.
