Yesterday's Festival of Cultures in MEPhI, held in honor of National Unity Day, brought together a vibrant blend of traditions and flavors from more than 20 countries! The event was a feast for the senses, featuring fascinating cultural exhibits, stunning traditional outfits, and a wide variety of global cuisine that delighted everyone in attendance.
Students from Russia and around the world had a unique opportunity to connect, share stories, and experience each other’s heritage. It was a day full of joy, cultural exchange, and unforgettable memories, highlighting the universal power of friendship and understanding.

🔐 Happy Security Specialist Day! 🔐
At MEPhI we have the whole institute that prepares specialists to work in the fields of financial and economic security not only in Russia, but also abroad. This is the Institute for Financial Technologies and Economic Security (IFTES).
The goal of the Institute has been to provide high-quality training in the interests of national and international systems for combating the legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds and terrorism financing.
The curriculum of IFTES academic programs, along with natural science disciplines, includes:
- advanced training in information technology;
- economic education necessary for the analysis of financial reporting of banks and legal entities;
- business education in management and decision making, investment and the securities market, competitive intelligence technologies;
- legal framework for financial and economic security and combating money laundering and terrorist financing;
- special linguistic training
If you have ever wanted to be a security specialist, MEPhI is the best choice!

On November 19, we will be celebrating the Higher School Teachers' Day in MEPhI 🎒
Our Student Union has created a sticker pack and a card that you can sign and send to your favourite professor (anonimously, if you want to). There are two spots where you can do it till November 15:
1️⃣next to the Student Office and a bit further,
2️⃣next to the canteen on the 2nd floor
Don't miss a chance to pick up the stickers with funny quotes of MEPhI professors! ☺️
If you're not yet our student, we translated the stickers into English, so you can download and print them, if you feel relatable 😅

⚛️MEPhI Opens Remote Participation Centre
Today, MEPhI will host the opening of the Remote Participation Centre of the Information and Communication Space Hardware Infrastructure Platform (ICP HIP) for fusion research.
ICP HIP is an information network dedicated to research in thermonuclear fusion, bringing together national and international scientific centres.
ICP participants have access to scientific experiments and can participate in each other's remote scientific experiments. Future experiments are planned at the ITER International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor in France.
All of the above will allow the Rosatom State Corporation's core university, MEPhI, to involve students and university staff in thermonuclear research and give them the opportunity to conduct experiments both in Russia and abroad.
