MEPhI students took part in a Songwriters Festival
On May 19-20, Desnogorsk city, Smolensk region, hosted the final round of the songwriters festival "U-235.New songs". The festival brought together more than 70 students from all over Russia, including MEPhI international students from Zambia and Sri Lanka.
🎙 Our students Joshua Mwilima from Zambia (INPhE MEPhI) and Prabat Buddika Madushanka Jayasinghe from Sri Lanka (IATE MEPhI) won the first prize in the nomination "Original song - Youth".

The festival is held within the framework of the Rosatom School project.

19-20 мая в г. Десногорске (Смоленская обл.) прошел финал фестиваля авторской музыки и поэзии «U-235.Новые песни». В нём приняли участие более 70 ребят со всей России, в том числе студенты НИЯУ МИФИ из Замбии и Шри-Ланки.
🎙 Победителями в номинации «Авторская песня» («молодежь») стали ИЯФиТ НИЯУ МИФИ Джошуа Мвилима из Замбии и Прабат Буддика Мадушанка Джаясингхе из Шри-Ланки, который учится в ИАТЭ НИЯУ МИФИ.

But did you know that Rosatom also develops projects in many different areas such as wind power, nuclear medicine, desalination, additive technologies, and many others?
Exclusively for MEPhI foreign students we launch an exciting training project "AtomPro: Businesses".
"AtomPro: Businesses" is a series of presentations by representatives of Rosatom State Corporation for foreign students, which tells about new technologies and businesses of Rosatom State Corporation.
The theme of the first meeting is "Rosatom. From the Conquest of the Atom to the Technologies of the XXI Century" will be held at MEPhI , where you will learn:
⚛️ What technologies Rosatom develops besides nuclear technologies;
⚛️ How Rosatom's technologies today ensure sustainable development in Russia and abroad;
⚛️ How Rosatom's technologies influence our lives on a daily basis.
The speaker is Igor V. Palamarchuk - Deputy Director of the Department, Head of Product Development Department of the private institution RMS.

🎄70 students from Asian and African countries (including the CIS) took part in the New Year celebrations: they treated each other to national dishes, participated in competitions, received gifts and learned to cook Olivier (Russian salad) at a master class as well as other creative master classes where students could create a handmade candle 🕯️ or a soap bar. 🧼

The sports programming championship is part of the International Tournament “Games of the Future”.
The championship will be dedicated to algorithmic programming where participants will represent their countries and universities for 2 days, February 28 and 29, solving specially prepared abstract tasks (12 per day).
The championship prize fund is $300,000!! 😱
Transport, food and accommodation for participants will be fully paid by the Federation.
A team per country may include 1 or 2 participants. If the participant is under 18 years old, then the presence of an accompanying person is required. The maximum number of teams from one country is 4.
‼️But beware - time is working against you - you have to make registration asap following the link. We wish you a good luck.
